A club sport is a student organization which receives funding from the Undergraduate Student Government. Its purpose is to promote and develop interests in its particular activity or sport. Club Sports may be organized for instructional, recreational, and/or competitive purposes. The success and strength of each club is based upon the initiative set forth by the student leaders and total involvement of the members. Students are encouraged to consult with the Assistant Director of Club Sports for information on joining a club or ideas for organizing a new club.
The Club Sports program has 36 recognized clubs and 1 provisional club. Clubs are available for competitive athletes as well as for participants looking to learn a new sport or just have fun. Both men and women are encouraged to participate.
